Households and invite codes
Where is our invite code?
In Settings, open House & members. Your house code is in the Household card. Tap it to copy it, or tap Share invite to send a link with the code. Anyone with the house code joins as a roommate and can see and add to your lists.
How do invite links work?
On an iPhone with Baggy, tapping an invite link opens Baggy ready to join the house. Someone without an account signs up first, and Baggy fills in the code for them. Without Baggy, the link opens a page that shows the code.
Can I invite someone as a parent or teen?
Yes, if you are the house owner or a parent. On the House & members screen, tap Invite someone, choose their role, and send the link. That link and its code work once, for one person.
How does someone join with a code?
After they create an account, Baggy asks who they shop for. They choose Parent or Roommate, then Join a house, and enter the code.
How does a teen join?
Teen accounts are for ages 13 to 17. A parent or the owner taps Invite someone, chooses Teen, and sets a budget for each shopping trip. The teen installs Baggy, creates an account, chooses Teen, and enters that code. The budget resets when the cart is cleared. Teens can’t invite people or change roles. Parents can turn on an alert for when a teen adds to the list in Settings, under Notifications.
Our code stopped working.
Personal invite codes work only once, and codes sent with a list link expire after seven days. The owner may also have reset the house code. Ask someone in the house for a new one.
Subscriptions
What’s free?
Every household can type items into its shared grocery lists, invite members and share lists with them, at no cost. Free lists show items as plain text, without prices, product photos or store aisles.
Why is something locked?
Meal planning, the pantry, recipes, Ask Baggy, store product and price search, aisle browsing, and receipt and barcode scanning need the Baggy Household subscription. One subscription unlocks them for everyone in the house.
Who can subscribe?
Only the house owner, which is the person who created the house unless ownership has passed to someone else. Other members see a note that the owner can unlock these features. They never pay. One subscription covers everyone in the household, including teens.
How do I restore my purchase?
On a new iPhone or after reinstalling Baggy, open Settings, then Baggy Household under Plan, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. Only the house owner needs to do this.
How do I cancel?
In iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Baggy. You can also go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles App Store payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your account
Why does Baggy ask for my date of birth?
Baggy is for people 13 and older. The app checks your date of birth on your iPhone before you sign in. The year isn’t stored or sent to us.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password? and enter your email address. We email you a code to set a new password. If you signed up with Apple, Google or your phone number, you don’t have a Baggy password. Sign in the same way you did before.
How do I delete my account?
In Settings, open Account & security and tap Delete my account. A house you share passes to the adult member who has been there longest. A house where you are the only member is deleted with its lists. Deletion can’t be undone, and it does not cancel your subscription, so cancel that first. If you can’t sign in, email us from the address on the account.
For details on what Baggy stores, read the Privacy Policy.
Coming from Mealime?
Mealime closed on October 21, 2026. Our Mealime alternative page compares the two apps and shows how to set up your house in Baggy.
